This RWLO could be applied in the following courses: General Science, Biology, Genetics, Educational Technology, and others. Specifically, this RWLO meets the following course competencies:

• increase knowledge of the principles of genetic theory of dominant and recessive traits;
   
• define terms used in human genetics; and
   
• apply and understand connections to phenomena in other disciplines;

Other Course Competencies:

• Educational Technology: Use content-specific tools, i.e. spreadsheets and the Internet to support learning and research.
   
• Educational Technology: Use technology in the development of strategies for solving problems in the real world.
